Applicants for this program must comply with the following admission requirements:
Take the TEAS Entrance Exam with a passing score of 50% or higher: A minimum overall TEAS score of 50 with at least 50% in Reading and 50% in Math is required for PN program. Results must be less than 2 years old with at least 30 days between attempts and a maximum of 4 attempts in one calendar year.
Throughout the practical nursing program, students are required to demonstrate competencies in content areas to progress in the program. Student proficiency will be assessed with the use of quizzes, exams, return demonstration of laboratory skills, home study modules, research papers, written assignments, and clinical evaluations using standard problem-based scenario exercises and/or skills demonstration in the practice setting.
