The ACLS course at Broward-Miami Health Institute is an AHA-authorized certification course for healthcare professionals who respond to or direct the management of cardiovascular emergencies. Offered at our Miramar, FL campus, it builds on BLS skills and follows the AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
The course covers the systematic approach to cardiac arrest, respiratory emergencies, peri-arrest conditions (bradycardia and tachycardia), airway management, acute coronary syndromes (ACS), and stroke — with emphasis on effective team dynamics during resuscitation. Upon successful completion, participants receive an AHA ACLS Provider Card valid for two years.
Available in classroom format or as HeartCode ACLS (blended learning with in-person hands-on skills session). Current BLS certification is required before attending.
