The Home Health Aide Program at Broward-Miami Health Institute is a 2-week, 75-hour certification program in Miramar, FL. It prepares students to provide personal care, health-related services, and daily living support to clients in home settings.
The program covers the full scope of home health aide responsibilities — including personal care procedures, infection control (OSHA standards), nutrition principles, patient safety, legal and ethical responsibilities (HIPAA), and bio-psychosocial support. Students also learn communication skills, emergency response, and how to work within long-term care environments.
Upon completion, graduates are prepared to work as Home Health Aides with home care agencies, assisted living facilities, hospice organizations, and private families across South Florida.

2022–2032
Home Health Aides are among the fastest-growing healthcare roles in the United States. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of home health and personal care aides is projected to grow 22% from 2022 to 2032 — much faster than the national average — driven by an aging population and increasing demand for in-home care.
In Florida, demand for HHAs is consistently above the national average, supported by one of the largest senior populations in the country.
